Job Description

Join our dynamic team in Patrick County as a Steward / Dishwasher and become an essential part of our kitchen operations. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our culinary team, ensuring a clean and organized environment for food preparation and service.

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using manual and mechanical methods
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and properly disposing of waste
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies to ensure a continuous and efficient workflow
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain smooth operations during peak hours
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment
• Organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in their designated areas
• Perform regular cleaning of kitchen appliances, work surfaces, and storage areas
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the kitchen manager

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar kitchen role
• Ability to read and write in English for understanding instructions and safety protocols
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per kitchen needs
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and food safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaborative skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
